This is the 3rd Annual David Nasto Memorial Walk for Oral Cancer Awareness. It is in memory of a man who was beloved by his family and friends, a man who lived each day to its absolute fullest! His zest for life and adventure took him to Italy to snowboard, Hawaii and Costa Rica to surf , or maybe just ride his bicycle cross country! The list of Davids trips are endless!
Davids life was cut short by a devastating and debilitating disease, tongue cancer. A disease which if found in its early stages is highly survivable! David did not know the signs of oral cancer and that is the purpose of the walk -- oral cancer awareness and early detection. The funds raised from this walk are to benefit the Oral Cancer Foundation to support their programs of awareness, education, advocacy and research. If we can save one life, if we can help someone avoid the pain and suffering that David and countless other oral cancer victims endured, it is worth everything!!! |
