Pre pay for your registration at the 2010 David Nasto Memorial Walk to be held in San Diego, CA
WALK DATE: SEPTEMBER 19TH, 2010 - RAIN OR SHINE.
This will be the 1st Annual David Nasto Memorial Walk in SanDiego, CA for Oral Cancer Awareness. It is in memory of a man who was beloved by his family and friends, a man who lived each day to its absolute fullest! His zest for life and adventure took him to Italy to snowboard, Hawaii and Costa Rica to surf , or maybe just ride his bicycle cross country! The list of Davids trips are endless!
Davids life was cut short by a devastating and debilitating disease, tongue cancer. A disease which if found in its early stages is highly survivable! David did not know the signs of oral cancer and that is the purpose of the walk -- oral cancer awareness and early detection. The funds raised from this walk are to benefit the Oral Cancer Foundation to support their programs of awareness, education, advocacy and research. If we can save one life, if we can help someone avoid the pain and suffering that David and countless other oral cancer victims endured, it is worth everything!!!

Features
Registration begins at 8:00 am Walk begins at 9:00 am, Walk should conclude at 12pm.
LOCATION OF THE WALK IS: DeAnza Cove 3000 East Mission Drive in North Mission Bay, SanDiego, CA
Registration is $25.00 for each walker. Register before September 5th to receive free event t-shirt! Proceeds from your registration benefit the Oral Cancer Foundation, a national non profit charity. Please print your invoice or receipt, and take it with you on the day of the walk to the registration booth as verification of prepayment. PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR PRINTED INVOICE TO VERIFY YOUR PREPAYMENT THE DAY OF THE WALK.
If you plan to walk and want to pre-register, you will have to personally make the payment to ensure that YOUR NAME appears on the invoice. PLEASE DO NOT HAVE SOMEONE ELSE PAY FOR YOU ONLINE. The alternative is registration by check on the day of the walk when the payment is made.

This walk is in memory of a man who loved life. David was always seeking a new adventure, he lived each day to its absolute fullest!! But this all came to an end due to a diagnosis of stage IV tongue cancer. A disease that if found early is highly survivable! David did not know the sore on his tongue was cancer. That is why we do this walk, to spread awareness and early detection. Hopefully we can save others from experiencing the pain and suffering David endured. Help make oral cancer history!! Lets make a difference!
