Sponsor a walker for the 2010 David Nasto Memorial Walk to be held in San Diego, CA
WALK DATE: SEPTEMBER 19TH, 2010 - RAIN OR SHINE.
This is the 1st Annual David Nasto Memorial Walk for Oral Cancer Awareness in SanDiego, CA. It is in memory of a man who was beloved by his family and friends, a man who lived each day to its absolute fullest! His zest for life and adventure took him to Italy to snowboard, Hawaii and Costa Rica to surf , or maybe just ride his bicycle cross country! The list of Davids trips are endless!
Davids life was cut short by a devastating and debilitating disease, tongue cancer. A disease which if found in its early stages is highly survivable! David did not know the signs of oral cancer and that is the purpose of the walk -- oral cancer awareness and early detection. The funds raised from this walk are to benefit the Oral Cancer Foundation to support their programs of awareness, education, advocacy and research. If we can save one life, if we can help someone avoid the pain and suffering that David and countless other oral cancer victims endured, it is worth everything!!!

Features
Registration begins at 8:00 am Walk begins at 9:00 am, Walk should conclude at 12pm.
LOCATION OF THE WALK IS: DeAnza Cove 3000 East Mission Drive in North Mission Bay, SanDiego, CA
Minimum sponsorship is $25.00, but you may enter in any amount above this once the product is in the shopping cart. Proceeds from your sponsorship benefit the Oral Cancer Foundation, a non profit national charity. When you continue through the checkout process to pay for your sponsorship, DO NOT FORGET TO ENTER THE WALKER'S NAME IN THE COMMENTS BLOCK. WITHOUT THIS STEP WE WILL NOT KNOW WHO TO CREDIT FOR YOUR SPONSORSHIP.
Please print your invoice at the end of purchase, it is your record of your tax deductible sponsorship (donation) to The Oral Cancer Foundation for you IRS records. Walkers are competing in two areas; 1. To bring in the greatest number of sponsors, and 2. To raise the highest dollar amount in sponsorships.
