Registration is $25.00 for each walker.
Free screenings will be held on site the day of the walk!
This is an awareness walk and screening event to memorize Beth Jussaume.
Beth Jussaume was a courageous young woman who fought a long, difficult battle like most men and women who are plagued with oral cancer. This walk is conducted annually by her son, Jeremy Dias. Jeremy lost his mother in his senior year of high school after her close to six year battle of chemotherapy, radiation, surgeries, and countless biopsies. He wishes to pass along this message: "Just months after her funeral services, an idea struck me so powerful that I felt a need to act on it. The idea of a walk to bring awareness of oral cancer to others in my community is so that no other individual will have to share the same fate as my mom. I feel her legacy is now to save lives and have her memory live on and to remember all those who lost their lives to this disease as well. So in partnership with the Oral Cancer Foundation I ask you to take a stand and support a cause for awareness and research 2 make oral cancer history!"
Proceeds from your registration benefit the Oral Cancer Foundation, an IRS registered, 501c3, non profit charity. Your walk registration is 100% tax-deductible. Please print your invoice or receipt, and take it with you on the day of the walk to the registration booth as verification of prepayment.
There will be free oral cancer screenings available at the event to both participants and to the public on the day of the walk.
